Senior Quantity Surveyor – Maidstone, Kent Up to £90,000 Package Permanent Role | Regional Main Contractor Hill McGlynn is proud to be partnering with a well-established regional main contractor based in Maidstone, renowned for delivering high-quality industrial steel frame and new build construction projects. With a diverse portfolio that also includes fit-out and refurbishment works, the company is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior QS to take a lead role on a variety of projects across the industrial, commercial, and refurbishment sectors. You will manage the full commercial lifecycle of multiple projects, working closely with the senior leadership and site teams to ensure successful financial delivery. Key Responsibilities: * Full commercial management of multiple projects from tender through to final account * Preparing accurate cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts * Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management * Handling valuations, variations, and change control processes * Producing commercial reports for senior management * Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations (JCT or similar) * Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff where necessary Ideal Candidate Profile: * Substantial experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment * Proven track record working on industrial steel frame, new build, and fit-out/refurbishment schemes * Strong understanding of commercial processes, cost control, and contract law * Excellent communication, negotiation, and team leadership skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously * Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management What’s on Offer: * Salary of up to £90,000, dependent on experience * Comprehensive package * Opportunity to work with a respected regional contractor with a strong project pipeline * Long-term career progression into senior management roles * A collaborative, supportive working environment Apply Today If you’re a commercially driven Senior QS looking to join a stable, growing business with exciting projects, apply today by submitting your CV
