Quantity Surveyor – Dartford, Kent Up to £50,000 Permanent Role | Residential Developer | Office-Based Hill McGlynn is delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable residential developer to recruit a skilled Quantity Surveyor for their Southern division, based in Dartford. Specialising in traditional build residential developments, our client is known for delivering high-quality homes across the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS with residential sector experience to join a stable, well-established business in a key commercial role. The Role: Reporting directly to the Southern Commercial Director, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple live housing developments. The role is office-based, with regular liaison with site teams, subcontractors, and the wider commercial department. Key Responsibilities: * Managing cost control, budgets, and cash flow across residential developments * Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages and valuations * Monitoring variations, identifying cost risks, and reporting to senior management * Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks * Using COINS software for cost reporting, procurement, and valuation management * Supporting the Commercial Director with performance analysis and forecasts Ideal Candidate Profile: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential housing sector * Strong working knowledge of traditional build construction methods * Previous use of COINS software is essential * Excellent numerical and analytical skills * Strong communication and negotiation abilities * Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment * Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary up to £50,000, depending on experience * Opportunities for career development within a respected regional developer * Office-based role with a supportive, experienced commercial team * Exposure to a strong pipeline of residential projects across the South East Apply Today To apply, please submit your up to date CV
