Test Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Test Planning and Design: Understanding software requirements and specifications to create comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases, including defining expected results. Test Execution: Systematically executing test cases and scenarios, simulating user interactions to identify bugs, glitches, and usability issues. Defect Reporting and Tracking: Accurately documenting identified defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA or spreadsheets, providing clear steps to reproduce the issue, and managing the bug lifecycle. Regression Testing: Performing retesting to ensure that bug fixes have been implemented correctly and that new updates haven't introduced new issues into existing functionality. Collaboration: Working closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure testing aligns with project goals. Documentation: Contributing to test documentation and providing progress reports to the test lead or relevant stakeholders.
