Job Description

Job Summary: The Warehouse Supervisor in a manufacturing environment oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, to production lines. This role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse layout, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards typical of export-driven manufacturing. The supervisor leads warehouse personnel, coordinates with production and logistics teams, and supports timely order fulfillment to meet production schedules and customer demands. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and finished goods. Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and support full physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. Ensure all warehouse operations comply with maquila regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes to optimize space utilization and material flow. Maintain accurate documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, including export paperwork and compliance documentation. Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Collaborate closely with production, quality control, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel performance, fostering a productive and safety-conscious team culture. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP software to track inventory and generate reports. Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely shipments and deliveries. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and warehouse productivity. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education. Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision, preferably in a maquila or manufacturing/export environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and export compliance. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Good understanding of maquila industry standards, customs regulations, and documentation. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced manufacturing demands. Strong communication skills in [Spanish and/or English, depending on location].
