Finance Specialist (Spare Parts)

Job Description
Responsible for efficiently managing finance processes related to the company’s spare parts operations. This includes ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, reconciliations, inventory valuation, and accounting support. The role is key in maintaining financial control and supporting operational decisions in the aftersales segment. Key Responsibilities • Accounts Receivable Management. o Validate, process, and record customer invoices and incoming payments in the accounting system o Ensure all orders are invoiced within the required period and in accordance with internal policies o Maintain accurate and up-to-date receivables records in SAP and related platforms • Inventory Management for Spare Parts • Apply appropriate valuation method (e.g., FIFO, weighted average) in alignment with group accounting policies • Perform regular reviews for obsolete, impaired, or slow-moving inventory, and support inventory revaluations • Support proper classification of parts (e.g., consumables vs capitalizable inventory) in accordance with accounting standards • Provide financial support during physical inventory counts and reconciliation • Conduct periodic reconciliations of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory accounts • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, errors, or duplicate entries • Prepare reports on outstanding balances and key financial indicators for decision-making • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and tax regulations • Support internal and external audits, particularly on receivables, inventory, and accounts payable processes • Adhere to internal control procedures related to financial processes and documentation • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes related to spareparts Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Experience: • Minimum of 3 years in accounting roles, ideally with focus on cost accounting and receivables/payables Technical Knowledge: • Experience in spare parts or aftersales operations is highly desirable • Proficiency in SAP (FICO, MM, and SD modules) • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and receivables/payables processes • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, and macros for automation) • Knowledge of Mexican tax and financial regulations • Familiarity with internal controls, audit processes, and financial reporting Skills and Competencies: • High attention to detail and analytical thinking • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with vendors and internal teams • Continuous improvement mindset with ability to suggest and implement workflow enhancements
