Diesel Mechanic

Ecosouth Services has an opening for an experienced Diesel Mechanic. Diesel Mechanics collaborate with other repair team members to ensure a vehicle is safely and efficiently operating to the driver’s needs.

$28 - $35 hourly

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Conduct inspections and perform preventative maintenance on diesel equipment.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

Education and Experience

• Experience: Two (2) years of proven work experience as a Diesel truck mechanic.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass the pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Must have own tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Includes: Lifting, Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Sitting, Standing, Squatting/Kneeling, Walking, Speaking, Hearing, Vision, Manual Dexterity.
• Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions, and other business interactions.
• Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
• Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
• Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.
• Lifting: able to lift up to 50lbs/14kg.
• Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel.
• Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements.
