Job Description

A leading UK bank is building a new control centre of excellence and is looking to hire a Data Governance Analyst to join a newly formed team. This role offers a rare opportunity to influence and embed best-in-class data governance practices across a growing function, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting high-impact regulatory and reporting programmes. Key Responsibilities Design and implement data governance controls in line with internal standards. Support regulatory change initiatives, including Product Sales Data (PSD) reporting. Conduct data profiling, cleansing, and quality reporting using tools like Alteryx and SQL. Work closely with business units to identify and resolve data issues. Document regulatory data provisioning obligations and maintain the Data Dictionary. Create test cases, dashboards, and visual data tools for non-technical stakeholders. Track compliance with data governance standards (e.g., CDE, DQ Issue Management). Support delivery of quarterly reports and contribute to business readiness. Key Requirements Proven experience in data governance, data quality, or regulatory reporting. Strong technical skills with tools like Alteryx, Tableau, SQL. Experience designing data quality controls and dashboards. Ability to translate technical findings for business stakeholders. Excellent documentation and data analysis skills. Background in financial services or banking preferred. Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented approach.
