Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant - Behaviour and Autism Specialist Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (Temporary with the potential to become permanent) Your New Company Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist secondary school in Greater Manchester. The school supports pupils aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your New Role As a Level 3 Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with Autism and challenging behaviour. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you will deliver targeted interventions, manage behaviour positively, and help pupils access a personalised curriculum. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September, with the potential for a permanent position.
