ull-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Peterborough,Cambridgeshire Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only Start Date: asap Simply Education is currently seeking a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about making a real impact on the lives of young people with additional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH and additional learning needs Assist in managing challenging behaviour with a positive, therapeutic approach Work alongside the class teacher to create a safe and inclusive learning environment Help students develop social skills, emotional regulation, and independence Support the implementation of individual learning and behaviour plans What We are Looking For: Some experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs High levels of resilience, patience, and empathy Strong communication and relationship-building skills Full-time availability (Monday-Friday, term time) A genuine passion for helping children succeed despite challenges Requirements: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Simply Education) Right to work in the UK References to cover the last two years of employment or education What We Offer: A supportive and collaborative team environment Continuous professional development and training opportunities A rewarding role where you can directly impact student progress and wellbeing Dedicated consultant support from the Simply Education team To apply, please send your CV and submit your application.
