Wood Processor and Delivery Driver

Our client is a well-established family run business based in Horncastle and due to expansion, they have an exciting opportunity for a Wood Processor & Delivery Driver to join their team as soon as possible! Our client has several arms to their business, including the supply of landscape products which include logs and play bark, which is where this role will be situated. The purpose of the role is to operate forestry machinery in a safe and diligent manner, in order to create high quality log and landscaping products to deliver to customers, as well as supporting with the wider estate. When delivering products to customers you will be the face of the company, providing a bespoke delivery service and so a high level of customer service is also required. We are looking for someone who has forklift driving experience as well as experience operating chainsaws, if you have licences in these key skills this would be very desirable. It is essential that you hold a full clean driving licence and have your own transport (you will need to be aged 25 or older to drive the company van for insurance purposes). This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, with working hours of 39 per week, working 7:30am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday with a 3:30pm finish on Friday's. The pay rate for the role will be £13.00 per hour. Duties will include:- Operating forestry machinery to create log and landscaping products (approximately 2 days a week) Delivery of log and landscaping products direct to customer using a transit van with a crane within 20 miles of the site location (approximately 2 days a week) Assist with the maintenance of the wider estate, including mowing, trimming, wood chipping, loading and material transportation (approximately 1 day a week) Help with setting up the venue ready for events, open days and festivals, with occasional site support on event days Ad hoc support to the Farm Manager as and when required Please apply online in the first instance, send your CV to or call Barker Ross Lincoln on 01522 551910 today!
