Lead the college's maths provision across all levels - from Functional Skills to GCSE - ensuring high quality teaching, learning and outcomes. Drive curriculum innovation that’s agile, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of learners, employers, and the wider community. Coach and developing staff, setting clear targets, and ensuring continuous improvement is more than just a buzzword. Inspire and support your team of educators through coaching, development and clear, purposeful leadership. Own the numbers – from performance data to recruitment targets – and using them to make smart, strategic decisions. Build bridges with employers, stakeholders, and partners to ensure your faculty is future-ready and employer-connected. Experience/Qualifications of Head of Maths A degree, a teaching qualification, and a solid track record of leadership in post-16 education. A sharp eye for quality, a head for data, and a heart for people. Experience managing budgets, resources, and change – without losing sight of the bigger picture. The ability to inspire, challenge, and support a team to be their best. A genuine passion for education and a belief in its power to transform lives.
