Workshop Assembly Operative Our client, a well-established and successful business in their industry, are hiring for a Workshop Operative with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail. A background in mechanical / electrical assembly is preferred but not essential. Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00 – 13:00 (Fri) Rate: £12.50-£13.50 (dependent on experience) Location: Markham Vale, Chesterfield Key Responsibilities * Assembly and testing of products, such as air ducting and hose. * Testing of final assembled products. * Assembly & final packing of hose, ducting and other ancillary products. * Liaising with Operations and Engineering departments to ensure jobs are completed to the highest standards and within required timescales. * Assist with upkeep of the companies’ stock system and item locations. * Picking parts for relevant jobs. * Keeping a clean and tidy warehouse / workspace. * Assisting current workshop / warehouse staff in all day-to-day duties. Requirements: * Willingness to learn quickly. * Positive “can do” attitude. * Experience using different hand/power tools. * Experience of mechanical or electrical assemblies preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
