Mechanical Technician

We at Work Lyf Group are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our client’s Maintenance Team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in hands-on mechanical work and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities * Perform maintenance, overhaul, and refurbishment of mechanical equipment in line with company standards and procedures * Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, modifications, and general mechanical work as needed * Monitor stock levels, ensure correct storage, and reorder supplies as necessary * Conduct damage assessments and inspections, supplying all necessary documentation and photographic evidence * Complete and maintain accurate records related to maintenance activities * File and store documentation in accordance with company protocols * May occasionally be required to work at other company sites Working Hours * 36 hours per week, Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:30pm * Overtime available on Fridays: 7:00am – 11:00am What We're Looking For * Strong organisational skills with a proactive mindset * Solid experience in the maintenance or engineering sector * Engineering qualifications are desirable * Experience in a similar industrial or technical environment is a plus Benefits * Defined contribution pension scheme with up to 10% employer contribution * Free on-site parking * EV charging at selected locations * Health Cash Plan * Cycle to Work Scheme
