Senior Electrical Estimator / Business Development Lead Location: North Yorkshire Salary: Competitive Performance-Based Bonus Job Type: Full-time / Permanent Are you an experienced Electrical Estimator or Business Development professional with a proven track record of winning large contracts in the construction sector? Are you ready to take the lead in helping a growing contractor secure larger electrical and/or M&E packages? We are working with a well-established electrical contractor, currently delivering small-to-medium sized projects, who are now seeking to scale by bringing in an ambitious and commercially savvy professional. The Role This is a hybrid role combining estimating, tendering, and business development, aimed at expanding the company's presence in the larger contract market (typically up to £500k). You’ll be instrumental in identifying opportunities, leveraging your industry contacts, preparing and submitting tenders, and ultimately winning work. Key Responsibilities * Identify and secure opportunities to tender for electrical and/or M&E packages up to £500k. * Use your industry network to open doors with main contractors, developers, and key decision-makers. * Prepare accurate and competitive tenders, from initial enquiry through to submission. * Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure commercially viable and technically sound proposals. * Attend site visits, pre-tender meetings, and manage the handover of secured contracts to the delivery team. * Play a key role in the strategic growth of the business. About You * Strong background in estimating and tendering for electrical and/or M&E projects. * A robust network within the construction industry (main contractors, developers, consultants). * Able to price and win work independently with minimal oversight. * Commercially minded and driven by success. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Ability to work from the office and travel to client sites/meetings as required.
