Wood Machinist – Permanent Position Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Wood Machinist to join our growing team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an experienced individual with a solid background in joinery manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: * Operate a wide range of traditional woodworking machinery including planers, moulders, tenoners, saws, etc. (Training available for experienced candidates where required) * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and written specifications with accuracy * Collaborate with the production team to determine the most efficient machining approach for each project * Identify and report any issues or discrepancies to the line manager before production begins * Liaise with colleagues and tooling suppliers to select appropriate tools and setups for each job * Maintain a safe working environment in line with current Health & Safety regulations * Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on delivering high-quality workmanship What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in bench joinery, wood machining, and general joinery production * Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills * A reliable and proactive attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced workshop environment * A collaborative team player who takes pride in producing high-quality work
