Mechanical Design Engineer – Nelson | £45–55k Tired of designing the same thing on repeat? This isn’t conveyor belts. It’s fully bespoke, automation-heavy kit: gas ovens, coolers, dispensers, pick-and-place lines. Every project is different. Dispensing, heating, and packaging all at the push of a button through a large scale pancake oven, pretty cool right? Just a little teaser of what you’d be working on. You’ll work with electrical and software teams from first sketch to commissioning. Sales won’t drop you in it. And you’ll actually get to speak to the customer. It’s on-site in Nelson, and there’s no team to manage. But if you like solving hard problems and building genuinely cool machines, this could be your best move yet. You’ll need solid experience with 3D CAD (Inventor isn’t essential), confidence designing with pneumatics or hydraulics, and ideally mechanical calculation experience.
