English Teacher

English Teacher Location : Taunton Fixed Term September - December Long Term Teachers are looking for an English Teacher to teach in a wonderful secondary school in the Taunton area. You will be responsible for making the education of students a priority and being accountable for achieving the best possible standards. You should have strong subject knowledge in English and a drive for the development of your own continuous professional development. This role involves delivering well planned and inspiring lessons that support the progress of students' English. Teachers should be able to adapt teaching materials to suit mixed ability classes. The role would suit a qualified teacher with a speciality in English or a degree in the relevant subject. Responsibilities : Plan and deliver English lessons in line with the national curriculum Encourage participation in classes. Foster an exciting and secure environment of learning. Monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider staff. Requirements : QTS Desired : A degree in an English subject Passion for the development of English skills for students Strong communication and organisational skills Experience working in secondary schools Strong subject knowledge and lesson delivery skills. Effective classroom and behaviour management Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
