Support Worker

Job Title: Mental Health Support Worker Location: Preston Hours: 48 hours per week (Pro Rota – Day & Night Shifts Available) Pay: Day shift: £13 Night shift: £15 SCP are currently recruiting a number of Support Workers to join our dedicated and compassionate team in Preston. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex mental health needs. You will be working 2-to-1 with a service user who requires 24-hour care, so commitment and reliability are essential. This role offers both day and night shifts, working on a rota basis across a 48-hour week. Key Responsibilities: * Provide high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities * Support individuals with conditions such as Autism, ADHD, Psychosis, and substance misuse * Promote independence and well-being while ensuring the safety and dignity of those in your care * Assist with daily activities, personal care, and emotional support * Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver consistent and person-centred care Requirements: * Proven experience in supporting individuals with mental health conditions and learning disabilities * Experience or understanding of Autism, ADHD, Psychosis, and substance misuse support * Medication training is desirable but not essential * Strong communication and teamwork skills * A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to care Please note: Due to the nature of the role and the requirements of the service, this position is open to Female applicants only, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Occupational Requirement).
