Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Engineer Location: Central London (Head Office) Contract: Freelance – 6-month contract Rate: £450 – £475 per day (through a limited company) Start: ASAP About the Role: We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor within their specialist MEP division. This is an exciting freelance opportunity to work on the PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement) phase of a major commercial development located in Central London. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate mechanical services design and installation during the PCSA phase. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful delivery. Review technical submissions, ensure compliance with specifications, and resolve any design or site issues. Attend project meetings and provide technical input where required. Ensure work is carried out in line with health & safety standards and company procedures.Requirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer in major commercial developments. Strong background working with Tier 1 main contractors or large MEP specialists. In-depth knowledge of mechanical building services, design coordination, and pre-construction phases. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
