Air Conditioning Engineer

Sherwoods has just secured a major new facilities maintenance contract, and with a strong pipeline of existing work, we’re looking for a qualified Air Conditioning Engineer to join our South West team. You’ll be field-based, supporting a range of commercial clients with planned maintenance, reactive callouts, and project installations. What You’ll Be Doing * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple commercial sites * Responding to emergency breakdowns and reactive calls * Installing and commissioning air conditioning and refrigeration systems * Diagnosing and repairing VRVs, VRFs, splits, chillers, and other HVAC equipment * Working as part of a close-knit team of five Engineers * Managing your schedule using our industry-leading software system * Travelling within the South West — we aim to keep your patch local What We’re Looking For * F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential) * Solid experience in a field-based HVAC/Air Conditioning role * Comfortable working across multi-site commercial environments * Strong diagnostic and repair skills on HVAC and refrigeration systems * Excellent communication and a commitment to top-tier service * A full UK driving licence * Able to pass an enhanced DBS check (some sites involve vulnerable individuals) Who Are Sherwoods?
