Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves working across various key stages, providing both one-to-one support and group assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Day-to-day of the role: Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs). Assist in the preparation and delivery of activities that facilitate active learning experiences. Support the social and emotional development of students, acting as a mentor. Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Adapt resources to meet the needs of students with varying disabilities and learning needs. Facilitate small group sessions as well as one-to-one support sessions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in working 1:1 and with small groups of students with SEN. Understanding of the educational needs and challenges faced by students with SEN. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. A compassionate and patient approach to handling challenging situations. Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are preferred.
