Job Title: Business Development Manager – Mobile & Connectivity Location: Field-Based (Territory: Southampton to Birmingham) Industry: Telecommunications Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: £25,000–£35,000 base plus 40% commission on the GP of the deals you bring in Car Allowance or Company Car Fuel Card About the Company My client is a growing, independent telecommunications reseller delivering mobile, connectivity, and VoIP solutions to businesses across the UK. Their mission is to offer tailored, high-quality services with a personal touch—backed by exceptional customer support and competitive pricing. As they expand their presence across southern and central England, they’re seeking a skilled Closing BDM to drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and solution sales. Role Overview As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for closing qualified leads and generating new business across your territory. This is a field-based role covering the Southampton to Birmingham corridor, targeting SMEs and mid-sized businesses with their range of mobile, connectivity solutions and VoIP. You’ll work closely with the lead generation team and sales support to focus on high-conversion sales activity and long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities •Close warm appointments set by our internal telemarketing and lead-gen teams. • Identify and self-generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and referrals. • Conduct face-to-face and virtual sales meetings to understand customer needs and pitch tailored solutions. • Sell mobile airtime (O2, Vodafone, EE), SIM-only, and 5G connectivity packages, along with broadband, leased lines and VoIP systems. • Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities using their CRM. • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable, long-term business. • Hit and exceed monthly sales targets and activity KPIs. • Represent the company professionally in all client interactions and events. Requirements • Proven experience in B2B telecoms sales, ideally selling mobile, connectivity solutions and VoIP systems. • A consistent track record of closing deals and meeting/exceeding targets. • Strong knowledge of UK mobile networks, connectivity products and VoIP systems. • Comfortable travelling across the territory (Southampton to Birmingham) – full UK driving licence required. • Confident, credible, and consultative sales style with excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as part of a remote sales team.
