Finance Assistant

We’re working with a purpose-led business in York to help them find a Finance Assistant to join their growing team on a temporary basis. If you’re detail-oriented, adaptable, and confident in your finance skills, this is a great opportunity to get stuck in and make a difference. Finance Assistant – What you’ll be doing * Processing invoices, payments, and staff expenses accurately and efficiently * Supporting bank reconciliations and maintaining ledgers * Assisting with month-end tasks and financial reporting * Helping to monitor budgets and carry out cost analysis * Responding to finance-related queries from across the business Finance Assistant – What we’re looking for * Experience in a Finance Assistant or similar junior finance role * Confident with systems like Xero, Sage, or similar * A proactive, detail-driven approach to day-to-day finance tasks * Ideally studying towards or already holding an AAT qualification * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment Finance Assistant – What’s on offer * Hourly rate equivalent to £25,000–£28,000 DOE * Full-time temporary contract * Hybrid working options available * Supportive, collaborative team with real development opportunities * Immediate start in a business with strong values and purpose Apply now if you're a Finance Assistant looking for your next temporary role in York.
