Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer – Contract – Remote Working Location: Remote Working This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading engineering business during a period of continued growth as they support the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Nuclear and Renewable Energy sectors. The successful candidate must be have a sound understanding of Revit. This role is remote working and is deemed to be outside IR35. The successful applicant must be a British passport holder and either hold Security Clearance at BPSS level or be eligible to obtain it. Role & Responsibilities * Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation using Revit. * Acting as interface for all key Structural enquiries regarding current or upcoming projects. * Structural analysis and design for a range of projects. * Reviewing embedded steelwork scope. * Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. * Collaborate with other disciplines as part of the project multi-disciplinary engineering team. * Develop technical documents and scope of work packages for projects. * Review and approve design modifications and provide technical support during construction. * Conduct design reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and completeness. * Undertake design and checking deliverables according to discipline and area of expertise. * Attend and manage in-house or site-based meetings and reviews. Key Skills & Knowledge * Must have a degree in Civil and / or Structural Engineering. * Chartered status preferred but not essential. * Must be a British passport holder and either hold Security Clearance at BPSS level or be eligible to obtain it. * Must have proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochem, Renewable Energy sectors or similar. * Knowledge of Revit is essential. * Knowledge of proprietary software such as Revit, STAAD Pro or Navisworks. Additional Information The role is deemed outside IR35 and will be working fully remote
