Machine Operator / Minder

My client is one of the leading manufacturers and producers of steel in the UK. They are looking for Machine Operators who have worked with hard materials and have operated CNC like machinery, forklift experience is also desirable. Benefits: Monday to Friday 14:00 - 22:00 Mon-Thurs then 14:00 - 19:00 Friday 22:00pm to 06:00am set shifts Mon to Thurs - Friday 19:00 - 00:00 40 hours a week Overtime paid at time and a half. Competitive salary £27,000 to £31,000 per annum depending what shift pattern you decide onSkills: Drill and saw machinery. Plasma and laser cutting machinery. Measuring equipment. Technical drawings Responsibilities: Operating a selection of manual and CNC based machinery. Processing steel to customers' requirements and tolerances. Ensuring daily checks are performed on your equipment, crane, and forklift/Combi lift. Collating orders, including banding, palletising, bagging, and preparing them for loading. Loading and offloading of plate and parts from the plasma and laser machines. Identifying and locating different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment Keeping machines and work areas clean and tidy Reporting any accidents and incidents to the HS&E Manager Reporting any machine faults/breakdowns to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager Attending all training courses when required Following the requirements of the Company Quality Management Systems, policies, and procedures to help achieve a quality product for the customer and reduce the non-conformances
