We are seeking a motivated and skilled Town Planner / Senior Planner to join their collaborative team in either Cornwall or Hampshire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, take on greater responsibility, and enjoy autonomy in your work. Whether you are a recently chartered planner or an experienced professional operating at a senior level, you will be supported to grow your skills and advance your career. Responsibilities As a Town Planner / Senior Planner, your key responsibilities will include: Managing and delivering planning applications, appraisals, and appeal submissions. Representing clients at committee meetings, appeals, and public consultations. Providing expert planning advice across sectors, including housing, commercial, energy, and heritage. Supporting junior team members and contributing to their professional development. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess the following: MRTPI Chartered status or be actively working towards chartership. Relevant experience within a private consultancy or similar planning environment. A strong understanding of the UK planning system. Excellent communication and report-writing skills. A proactive and commercially aware approach to work. A full UK driving licence (or a willingness to travel as required). Day-to-Day Your day-to-day activities will involve: Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals. Conducting site visits and liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders. Attending meetings, public consultations, and planning committees. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality planning solutions. Staying up-to-date with planning legislation and policy changes.
