Assistant Quantity Surveyor - West Yorkshire Permanent | Office-Based | Competitive Salary | Full-Time I'm working with a privately-owned construction business based in West Yorkshire, who are looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with 2-3 years' experience in an office-based QS role, ideally within a construction company delivering private bespoke dwellings and residential developments. You'll be supporting the commercial function across a diverse range of high-quality projects, taking on more responsibility as you continue to grow your knowledge and experience. Key Responsibilities: Managing commercial duties across multiple live projects Preparing and submitting interim applications, pricing variations, and supporting final account agreements Producing cash flow forecasts and detailed cost/value reconciliations Reviewing and setting project budgets Supporting the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Administering and certifying subcontractor payments and reviewing invoices Assisting with contract administration and documentation Attending project and client meetings as required What We're Looking For: Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline 2-3 years' experience in an Assistant QS role, with time spent in the office-based commercial function of a construction company Background working on private bespoke housing projects or residential developments Solid understanding of JCT contracts A proactive, commercially aware mindset Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence (travel to sites across West Yorkshire required) Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK - sponsorship is not available If you're ready to take the next step in your career within a collaborative, quality-focused business, I'd love to hear from you.
