Support Worker Job Type: Full-time (Part time available) Location: Cranleigh, Surrey Salary: Competitive Join our dedicated team as a Support Worker, where you will assist autistic adults in enhancing their well-being, independence, and social inclusion. This role involves supporting learners either one-on-one or in small groups, both on-site at our adult centre and in the local community. You will work through individualised curriculums to support holistic development and lifelong learning. Day-to-day of the role: Provide tailored support to autistic adults, helping them to achieve their personal learning and development goals. Work closely with individuals in one-on-one sessions or facilitate small group activities, ensuring a supportive and effective learning environment. Implement individualised curriculums designed to enhance each learner's life skills, independence, and social interactions. Engage with learners both on-site at our adult centre and within the local community, promoting real-world application of skills. Monitor and record the progress of learners, adapting strategies as needed to meet their evolving needs. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in supporting individuals with autism or similar developmental disabilities. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by autistic adults and effective strategies to support their development. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage empathetically with learners. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
