Position: Full-Time PE Teacher Location: York Start Date: September Salary: MPS/UPS (MPS1 to UPS3) Experience: ECTs Welcome This independent school in York is seeking an energetic and committed Physical Education Teacher who can engage students in a dynamic and inclusive sports curriculum. The successful applicant will teach across Key Stages 3–5, while also contributing to the school’s rich co-curricular sports programme. The PE Department is integral to the life of the school, offering a wide variety of team and individual sports. Facilities are excellent, and support from leadership is strong. The department works hard to encourage participation and excellence, regardless of ability level. The school believes in developing character as well as skill, and PE plays a central role in teaching resilience, teamwork, and leadership. Ideal Candidate Will Have: * A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education or a related subject * QTS or PGCE in Physical Education * A track record (or strong potential) for coaching or leading extra-curricular sport * Enthusiasm for active participation in whole-school life
