Psychology Teacher

Position: Full-Time Psychology Teacher Location: York Start Date: September Salary: MPS/UPS (MPS1 to UPS3) Experience: ECTs Welcome The school is seeking a passionate and thoughtful Psychology Teacher to teach A-Level Psychology, and potentially some KS4 enrichment, starting in September. This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a highly academic and values-driven environment. The Psychology Department is small but dynamic, with excellent student outcomes and high levels of interest in the subject. You will be working with motivated students who are eager to explore topics such as cognition, research methods, human behaviour, and social influence. There is a strong emphasis on analytical thinking, academic writing, and research skills, and the successful applicant will be supported by a close-knit and highly experienced team. Ideal Candidate Will Have: * A degree in Psychology or a related field * QTS or PGCE in Social Sciences or Psychology Education * A clear understanding of AQA or equivalent A-Level specification * Enthusiasm for teaching and learning in a sixth form setting
