Band 6/Band 7 Pharmacist

Location: Causeway Hospital Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Part-time considered) Contract: 6-month initial placement Start Date: ASAP We are inviting applications from motivated and dynamic pharmacists to join the pharmacy team at Causeway Hospital . This is a combined advert for both Band 6 and Band 7 posts, depending on the applicant's qualifications, experience, and suitability. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a modern, patient-focused pharmacy service. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of clinical and operational pharmacy duties, including medicines reconciliation, discharge planning, clinical screening, patient counselling, and dispensary-based services. Band 6 pharmacists will join a rotational programme gaining valuable experience across dispensary, aseptic services, medicines information, and ward-based clinical pharmacy, with support for professional development and progression. Band 7 pharmacists will be expected to take on a more autonomous role, including supporting service improvements and deputising for senior staff when required. Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) . Strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and service improvement are essential. We are open to part-time and job share arrangements in addition to full-time hours. Participation in weekend, late-night, and on-call rotas may be required in line with service needs.
