Job Description
Title: Facilities and Warehouse Coordinator
Classification: Non-exempt/Full Time
Reports to: GM ETC
Location: Engineering Technology Corporation (Salt Lake City, UT)

Job Summary: Oversees daily operations in the warehouse and will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and kitting materials to support production needs. Coordinates all aspects of facilities maintenance, while driving 5S methodology and safety compliance. The role is hands-on and critical to supporting production uptime, warehouse logistics, and a safe working environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive materials and communicate receiving items to procurement group
- Organize received and fabricated parts in the warehouse area for efficient location and use
- Create standard operating procedures for general warehouse organization
- Create production kits from received, fabricated, and stock materials
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and document all movement of products in and out of the warehouse
- Examining stored material and reporting damage, discrepancies, etc.
- Respond to requests from Purchaser/Planner for logistics support as required
- Forklift operations; perform forklift and machine inspections and schedule maintenance as needed
- Assist with assembly, packaging, and shipping of equipment
- Manage and continuously improve a 5S workplace organization system to ensure cleanliness, efficiency, and standardization across all facility areas.
- Partner with EHS and production teams to proactively identify and eliminate safety hazards; support site safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Maintain OSHA compliance and ensure all building systems meet regulatory standards and internal policies for safety, fire code, and environmental controls.
- Develop and manage the facility's preventative maintenance program; ensure timely inspections and maintenance of all critical systems.
- Oversee facility layout changes, machine installation coordination, and space utilization projects.
- Supervise and coach production staff to uphold performance, safety, and 5S standards.
- Collaborate with leadership to support production uptime, logistics flow, and facility readiness for audits or regulatory visits.
- Administer vendor contracts for outsourced services such as pest control, HVAC service, building security, and janitorial work.
- Track utility usage, and energy efficiency projects to reduce operating costs.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of facilities or maintenance management experience in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment.
- Active forklift certification required
- Strong organization, coordination, problem solving, and communication skills required
- Familiarity with general warehouse safety procedures (PPE, SDS sheets, evacuation procedures, etc) and participate in safety activities
- Proven experience leading 5S programs and building a culture of safety, order, and accountability
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, building codes, and safety regulations and mindset
- Technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, compressed air, fire suppression, and building automation systems
- Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles is a plus
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience
Physical Demands:
- The physical demands of this job are active, and the employee must be able to sit, stand, walk and climb; have use of hands and fingers; talk see and hear
- Operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and manlifts as necessary
Work Environment:
- Majority of time spent in warehouse setting; uncontrolled environment which contains noise, moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- Some time spent in office setting
- Some work with hazardous materials (solvents such as isopropyl and acetone)
