Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,052 per week in New Orleans, LA

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM Experience: Minimum 3 years experience at level I or II hospital License: Compact or local license in hand upon submittal Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT required Must-Have: - Unit accepts first-time travelers - Submittals must include all required documentation - References from two managers or supervisors are required prior to contract start Description: The Sterile Processing Technician will work in the surgical services department. The role requires experience with sterilizers, Sterrad machines, and ultrasonic equipment. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar position. The standard shift for this position is from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Medical and religious exemptions for required vaccinations are recognized. Orientation will last for eight hours and is non-billable. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their availability during the interview. AHA certifications are required. Intermediate AWHONN certification is required for L&D. CPI certification is required for all CNAER nurses or must be obtained before starting. NURSYS reports for RNs must be current and submitted with the profile. Resources with prior employment in the system must have a one-year separation before returning as travelers.
