Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant Location: Ealing, South West London Start Date: September 2025 We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a primary school setting. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers and specialist staff to provide tailored support that fosters learning, social development, and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities: Support children with ASD in both individual and group settings to help them access the curriculum effectively. Implement individualized strategies and interventions designed by SEN coordinators and therapists. Assist in managing behavior and promoting positive social interactions. Adapt learning resources to meet the needs of children with ASD. Monitor and record students’ progress, reporting to teachers and SEN teams as appropriate. Promote inclusion and encourage independence within the classroom environment. Support with daily routines, transitions, and any sensory or communication needs. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure consistency of care and learning. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children with ASD or SEND in an educational setting. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting diverse learners.
