Compliance Manager

We are delighted to be partnering with a long-standing client who are looking to expand their Compliance team with the appointment of two Manager level roles. This is a hybrid role (2 days in the office each week). In addition to a competitive salary, benefits include: Annual bonus scheme - up to 10% non-contractual bonus Employee Car Ownership scheme - just £37.50 per month Employee pension contribution of 3.5% / Employer pension contribution of 7.22% Private Healthcare – Self Partner Cover 27 days annual leave 2 extra half days (Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve) Bank Holidays Purpose of the role: As a Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Compliance Function in delivering the firms' compliance strategy, ensuring adherence to FCA and PRA regulations, helping to embed a strong compliance culture and support the business to achieve its strategic objectives. You will provide regulatory advice to support business stakeholders deliver business projects and initiatives from inception to implementation, fostering a high-performance mindset. Role description Regulatory Compliance & Advisory: Provide expert regulatory advice to business stakeholders, ensuring the firm meets FCA and PRA requirements. Act as a subject matter expert on CONC, Consumer Duty, Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and other relevant regulations. Monitor regulatory developments, conduct impact assessments, and support the firm in adapting to new rules and expectations. Support internal review and drafting of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure regulatory alignment and business effectiveness. Provide insight to support regulatory interactions, including FCA engagements, review and submission of senior stakeholder SM&CR applications and reporting requirements. Compliance Projects & Product Support: Provide compliance support to regulatory change projects, working closely with internal stakeholders in product, sales, IT, risk, legal, and operational teams to help implement new and existing regulatory requirements. Provide compliance advice and guidance on new product developments, supporting the business to ensure regulatory risks are identified and mitigated from the outset so that good outcomes can be achieved. Support the firm in aligning its compliance approach with industry best practices and evolving regulatory expectations. Support the business to identify and mitigate risks as well as ensure effective governance and documentation across projects, from inception to implementation, is in place to demonstrate compliance and customer outcome considerations. Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management: Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support effective compliance monitoring of key business activities to help ensure effective identification, assessment, and mitigation of conduct and regulatory risks. Effectively collaborate with the business on investigations into regulatory breaches, complaints, and conduct issues, providing recommendations for remediation. Champion a strong conduct and compliance culture, helping to ensure that Consumer Duty and TCF principles are embedded in decision-making. Knowledge & Skills: In-depth knowledge of the FCA handbook/PRA rules, particularly CONC, Consumer Duty, SM&CR, and financial promotions requirements Proven experience in compliance consumer credit, or a similar FCA-regulated financial services sector. Experienced in advising business stakeholders, providing regulatory advice and guidance on internal matters, procedures and policies, and participating in internal committees and contributing compliance insights. Experience in supporting business projects/initiatives, particularly relating to new product development and regulatory change. Ability to assess and support business stakeholders to address regulatory risks proactively. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
