Role: Contract Business Analyst Domain: Commodities Trading Project: Orchestrade ETRM Implementation Location: London (Hybrid) Rate: £700-735 (Inside IR35) Contract: 6 months (multi-year scope) X4 Technology is partnering with a rapidly expanding commodity trading firm in London to recruit a skilled Contract Business Analyst to drive the implementation of Orchestrade , a leading ETRM platform. This role is central to a large-scale digital transformation aimed at modernising trade capture, risk management and operational processes across the business. You will play a critical role in bridging business and technology teams, ensuring that the Orchestrade solution delivers end-to-end support for front-office trading, risk controls and back-office workflows. This is an exciting chance to contribute your expertise in ETRM/CTRM systems and commodities trading in a fast-moving, high-impact environment. Responsibilities of the Business Analyst (ETRM): Collaborate closely with business users and the Orchestrade implementation team to translate trading and risk requirements into technical solutions. Analyse and document end-to-end business processes, focusing on trading, risk and operations workflows and systems. Gather, validate and manage detailed functional and non-functional requirements for Orchestrade, maintaining clear traceability through to delivery. Assist in the configuration, integration and thorough testing of the Orchestrade platform, including leading user acceptance testing and change adoption efforts. Establish and maintain governance practices to ensure quality and alignment of project documentation with delivery milestones. Oversee prioritisation and sequencing of product features and deliverables, providing light project coordination to drive programme progress. Requirements of the Business Analyst (ETRM): Demonstrable success delivering complex ETRM/CTRM projects, with specific experience on Orchestrade and/or metals trading preferred. Strong expertise in business change management, process mapping, and modelling of functional architectures within commodity trading environments. Solid understanding of trade lifecycle management, risk controls, and P&L reporting within commodities. Skilled at engaging diverse stakeholders, effectively bridging communication between business and technical teams. Experience applying governance frameworks and working within hybrid Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
