Job Description

Quantity Surveyor Salary up to £65,000 Location - Ipswich This is a 12-year-old construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new builds, renovations, and refurbishments. While the business undertakes projects of all sizes– they are now investing in a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to focus on smaller-scale projects valued between £100,000 and £2 million. The company is undergoing rapid growth, expanding both staff and management, and this role offers the opportunity to become part of that exciting trajectory. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of a range of small to mid-size projects, delivering cost management and commercial oversight across multiple sites. You’ll work closely with the wider commercial and project teams to ensure value, efficiency, and quality at every stage. Key Responsibilities: Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents Monitoring and controlling project costs from pre-construction to final account Managing subcontractor packages and procurement Handling variations and change control Supporting efficient and profitable project delivery What We're Looking For: Minimum 3 years' experience in a QS role, ideally in residential or mixed-use construction Proven ability to manage multiple smaller projects concurrently Strong commercial and negotiation skills A proactive mindset with excellent communication and reporting abilities Relevant qualifications (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent) Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary up to £65,000 (depending on experience) Fast-track development within a growing company Supportive, hands-on leadership team A diverse and steady pipeline of work
