Development Manager

Position: Wind Developer Location: Preference for Scotland | Hybrid role with travel across the UK A growing player in the clean energy sector is seeking a Project Lead to drive the expansion of its onshore wind initiatives across the UK. Key Responsibilities: Identify and progress new wind energy opportunities throughout Scotland, England, and Wales Assess potential for upgrading or extending current infrastructure Take ownership of grid-related planning: liaise with distribution operators, oversee grid applications, and enhance grid integration Collaborate with stakeholders and landowners on site control and offtake agreements, including CfDs and PPAs Manage projects from early-stage development through to final investment decision, with budgets reaching up to £5 million Coordinate closely with internal teams across legal, engineering, commercial, and operations Oversee a diverse portfolio of large-scale developments simultaneously What We're Looking For: Proven track record in renewable energy project delivery within the UK In-depth knowledge of site acquisition, planning, grid strategy, and commercial structuring Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with landowners, councils, and local communities Familiarity with wind resource modelling and environmental assessments is an advantage Interested?
