Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing (New Builds & Refurbishments) Location: Blackburn Position: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive Benefits Start Date: Immediate / Negotiable The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Blackburn , working on a variety of social housing projects , including both new build developments and refurbishment schemes . This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that directly improve the lives of communities across Lancashire and beyond. Key Responsibilities Oversee cost management throughout all stages of residential housing projects Prepare accurate cost plans, budgets, and valuations Manage sub-contractor procurement and payments Monitor project variations and handle cost reporting Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure successful delivery Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and internal procedures What We’re Looking For Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying Proven experience working on social housing, particularly new builds and refurbishments Solid understanding of JCT contracts and UK construction standards Excellent attention to detail with strong commercial and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Strong communication and client-facing abilities What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Car allowance or company vehicle Pension scheme & holiday entitlement Career progression and professional development support Inclusive and supportive work environment
