Mechanical Supervisor

Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor Location: The Docklands, East London Contract Length: 12 months Start Date: ASAP Rate: £275–£300 per day Hours: 8–9 hours per day Overview: We are urgently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a live Data Centre project in The Docklands, East London, on a 12 month contract The successful candidate must have solid experience managing mechanical works on site within mission-critical environments. You’ll be responsible for supervising mechanical trades, maintaining quality and productivity, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating daily site activities to meet project milestones. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise the installation of mechanical systems: CHW, LTHW, HVAC, DX units, containment, pump sets, and associated pipework * Lead and manage mechanical operatives and subcontractors on site * Coordinate with project and site managers to align installation progress with schedule * Review mechanical drawings and ensure accurate, quality installation in line with spec * Ensure site safety, conduct toolbox talks, and enforce RAMS compliance * Report daily progress and escalate issues where necessary * Support the commissioning, testing, and handover phases Requirements: * Proven experience supervising mechanical works on Data Centre projects (essential) * Mechanical trade background (pipefitting, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) * Strong understanding of mission-critical mechanical systems and installation standards * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications * SMSTS or SSSTS (required) * CSCS Card – Supervisor/Gold or Black (required) * First Aid certification (preferred) * Reliable, organised, and able to lead from the front To Apply: Please send your CV to this advert
