Demolition Estimator

Job Title: Demolition Estimator (or Trainee Estimator) Location: Bath, Somerset (Office based with site visits as required) Salary: £20,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role Our client, a leading demolition and site development company in the Bath area, is expanding their commercial team and looking for a Demolition Estimator or Trainee Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced estimators or those looking to build a career in the demolition sector. Key Responsibilities * Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for demolition and enabling works * Review project specifications, drawings, and site conditions * Liaise directly with clients and maintain strong relationships * Attend pre-tender site visits and meetings * Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth project handovers * Support the commercial team with pricing strategies and bid submissions Person Specification * Confident and personable in client-facing interactions * Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills * High attention to detail and accuracy * Ambitious, proactive, and commercially aware * Able to interpret technical documents and work collaboratively * Preferred but not essential: experience in demolition, construction, or estimating; knowledge of health & safety or temporary works What’s Offered * Competitive salary £20,000 - £50,000 per year, depending on experience * Support and training for career development, including progression to full estimator role * Friendly, team-oriented working environment * Company pension scheme * Free and on-site parking Working Hours * Monday to Friday * Office-based with occasional site visits
