Goods In and Out Assistant

Chase Taylor Recruitment is currently working with a high-end installer who are on the lookout for an experienced Goods in/out Assistant to be responsible for ordering, organising all incoming and outgoing ironmongery deliveries and managing the warehouse / Stock space effectively. Must ensure all ironmongery items for projects are ordered and packaged correctly. This role comes with opportunities to further enhance your development and career within the industry. Role Responsibilities: * Ensure warehouse has enough ironmongery stock * Booking deliveries with clients or arranging transport with logistics companies * Responsible for special requests of plating ironmongery and sending out to specific metal finishers * Use companies in house system to track and order the required items for orders that have been placed * Preparing ironmongery for individual jobs, marking up a check list on each job to make sure there are no missing items * Check jobs for extra items required and ensure that all ironmongery for the project is sources * Problem solving - if something is out of stock from one supplier, use your initiative to find it from other sources/suppliers * Be proactive and identify issues that might occur with ironmongery and come up with solutions * Other administrative tasks when needed/requested * Training will be provided where needed Candidate’s skills & experience: * Knowledge of the ironmongery market, suppliers and trends preferred * A good understanding of fenestration products including ironmongery * Have current/recent experience within a similar role * High level of communication and organisational skills * Ability to use initiative and problem solve To find out more information about this role, please click ‘apply’ or contact Guy at Chase Taylor Recruitment and quote reference number MM6236
