Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor – FM Location: County Durham 3 years, On-site ️ Start: ASAP Competitive Day Rate I am currently recruiting a freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to start work for a Facilities Management firm on a contract in County Durham. You’ll play a key role in delivering a £multi-million lifecycle programme with 3 years remaining, working alongside a dedicated Project Manager. This role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of a critical estate upgrade – handling all commercial and contract matters for essential FM and refurbishment works. What You’ll Be Doing: * Full QS responsibilities for a multi-million pound lifecycle programme. * Writing and managing JCT contracts. * Supporting and advising on Principal Design elements and documentation. * Preparing budgets, cost plans, and tender documents. * Liaising with contractors and supply chain partners. * Working closely with the PM to deliver project outcomes. What We’re Looking For: * Extensive QS experience, ideally in FM, refurbishment or commercial infrastructure. * Strong background with JCT contracts. * Capable of independently managing contracts and commercial risk. * Able to be on-site 5 days per week initially (with potential to reduce over time). * Competency with Microsoft Project is a plus but not essential. * Available immediately or on short notice.
