Senior Civil Engineer (Structures)

Brownlee Cale are working with a Tier One Civil Engineering Contractor to source a Senior Structural Engineer for a 6 month contract. This role will be an office-based position with some travel necessary for site or client visits. Responsibilities: * Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of civil and structural systems * Prepare and review calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and design reports. * Perform structural assessments and integrity checks on existing assets, including load analysis and seismic design where required. * Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and piping engineers. * Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, and construction phases. * Ensure designs comply with UK standards, industry codes, and client specifications * Contribute to safety case documentation and design justifications in regulated environments. * Attend site, client and inspection visits as required * Mentor junior engineers and support project management in planning and resource allocation.
