Job Title: Transport Manager 3PL Frozen & Chilled Distribution ?? Location: Birstall, WF17 9NF ?? Salary: Up to £45,000 per year ?? Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:3017:30 (some flexibility required) ?? Are you an experienced Transport Manager ready to take control of chilled and frozen logistics for a busy 3PL operation? Based in Birstall , this role is your opportunity to lead from the front managing people, processes, and performance across a fast-paced transport hub. Were looking for a hands-on professional with strong leadership skills, a Transport Manager CPC, and a solid understanding of fleet compliance, logistics operations, and DVSA regulations. What Youll Be Doing: Team & Driver Leadership: Lead, support and develop drivers and office staff on site Conduct regular 1-2-1s, reviews, and performance conversations Plan shift patterns, manage holidays and staffing levels Resolve queries and support drivers with real-time operational issues Customer Operations & Support: Handle daily customer communications professionally Provide live updates on ETAs and delays Collaborate with other depots to enhance overall performance Manage shared inboxes (e.g. depot, customer service) Fleet & Route Management: Oversee vehicle compliance, maintenance, and testing Monitor Clean Air Zone compliance and environmental restrictions Ensure routes meet height/load/weight restrictions Track routes in real-time to reduce inefficiencies and delays Make recommendations on fleet size and usage Systems & Performance Monitoring: Manage Bright HR and Blip for attendance and scheduling Use Zendesk to manage incoming queries Monitor and report on daily/weekly KPIs Identify trends and suggest improvements Maintain full compliance across transport, warehouse, and depot duties What Were Looking For: ?? Transport Manager CPC (essential) ?? Refresher training completed within the last 5 years (proof required) ?? Strong knowledge of fleet compliance, transport law, and standard licence requirements ?? Experience managing a chilled/frozen 3PL transport operation ?? Confident using transport systems and platforms (Bright HR, Zendesk, tracking tools) ?? Passion for leadership, efficiency, and delivering great service ??
