Job Description

Job Title: Environmental Compliance Manager Location: Bristol/Exeter Employment Type: Full time Role Overview Ensure the organization's environmental responsibilities are met. Oversee Soilflo, track materials, liaise with regulators, interpret data, and advise on best practice. Key Responsibilities - Manage Soilflo system and material movement tracking. - Organise and manage all material movements. - Create and maintain stockpile maps. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of waste/environmental regulations. - Engage with environmental regulators and manage site audits related to environmental compliance. - Understand and communicate soil chemical analysis and technical documents. - Communicate environmental issues to a range of audiences. - Represent the company on environmental matters. - Identify and classify soil types. - Production of MMPs (Materials Management Plans). Key Competencies - Technical knowledge of soil, waste, and environmental law. - Commercial mindset. - Excellent communication and reporting skills. - Strong regulatory liaison and audit experience. - Analytical and detail-oriented. - Project and time management capabilities. - Leadership and training skills. Qualifications & Experience - Degree in Environmental Science or similar. - 5 years' experience in the construction or environmental sector. - Member of a professional body and working towards chartership. - Soil analysis and regulatory engagement experience. Desirable Attributes - Construction/remediation industry exposure. - Familiarity with environmental regulations. Working Conditions - Office and field based - Travel required to site
