Freelance Externals Site Manager – Façade Contractor Location: Manchester Rate: Competitive Day Rate (CIS or Ltd) Duration: 30 weeks approx Start Date: 25/08/2025 Our client, a reputable and growing façade contractor, is looking for an experienced freelance externals site manager to oversee the delivery of the external envelope package on a key project in Manchester. The successful candidate will have strong experience in External Wall Insulation systems and full building envelope coordination. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all site-based activities relating to the external works and façade installation * Oversee subcontractors delivering EWI, cladding, SFS, insulation, waterproofing, and other envelope elements * Ensure health & safety standards are met and maintained on site * Monitor progress against the programme and report to the project team * Conduct quality checks and ensure work is delivered to spec and within timeframes * Act as the main point of contact for site coordination, technical issues, and contractor queries Candidate Requirements: * Demonstrable experience delivering EWI systems and managing full building envelope packages * Proven background with façade or externals subcontractors * SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid as a minimum * Strong leadership and site coordination skills * Able to interpret drawings, RAMS, and construction specifications * Manchester-based or willing to travel daily What’s on Offer: * Long-term freelance opportunity – 30 weeks minimum * Competitive day rate (paid CIS or Ltd) * Join a well-regarded contractor delivering high-quality façade solutions * Start immediately on a live project Apply Now If you're a site manager with strong EWI and envelope experience looking for your next freelance role, we want to hear from you.
