Junior Estimator

Job Title: Assistant Estimator An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Estimator to join a busy Estimating team. This role involves supporting senior estimators in the preparation, costing, and submission of tenders across a range of construction projects. Key Responsibilities: * Assist lead estimators in the compilation of competitive tender submissions. * Support the measurement and quantification of project requirements. * Provide cover for the Estimating Administrator during periods of annual leave. * Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotations and relevant documentation. * Help maintain accurate records of tender documents and correspondence. Candidate Profile: * Ideally working towards a qualification in construction or a related field, with some prior experience in a similar role. * A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on increased responsibility as skills develop. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. * Based within approximately one hour of the office (typically within Surrey). * Training will be provided, with scope for progression based on aptitude and performance. Salary & Benefits: * Salary in the range of £30,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and ability. * Two-month probationary period. * 4 weeks of annual leave, plus discretionary additional days at Christmas. * Access to the company pension scheme upon completion of probation. * Eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus scheme after one year of service
