Job Description

Driving growth and business is the primary aim of this newly created Sales Development Manager position. A true hunter-gatherer role, this role calls for a candidate with previous B2B sales experience who has a passion for generating leads, fostering relationships, and closing sales. What’s in it for you? * Work hours: 35 hours per week, between 9am and 5pm * Salary: £40,000, plus on target earnings of £48,000 * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Remote work and flexible working policy * Ongoing training and development * Christmas shutdown * Option to buy and sell holiday * Pension scheme * Private medical insurance * Income protection * Retail discounts * Access to an EAP * Volunteering days Sales Development Manager Responsibilities: * Oversee the entire sales cycle, from identifying prospective customers and generating leads to converting and closing sales * Generate high-quality leads by engaging prospective customers via phone calls, face-to-face meetings, networking, trade events, and targeted marketing campaigns * Undertake research to identify prospective businesses that would benefit from the company's offering, and to develop a strong sales pipeline * Maximise sales conversion rates by following up with prospective business customers and referrals, and promoting products and services, using a tailored approach * Regularly engage with existing and prospective customers to foster and maintain close-knit relationships * Act as the main point of contact for businesses, offering your support where necessary and working closely with the account management team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience * Update the CRM with sales, engagement, and pipeline information to gather data and insights to inform future strategies and identify areas of improvement * Represent the company at events, networking events, and trade shows and deliver engaging sales presentations to raise awareness and generate leads Sales Development Manager Skills and Experience: * Proven experience in business development and lead generation is essential, with a strong advantage given to candidates with a background in B2B or membership sales * A demonstrable track record of building a robust client portfolio, identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and successfully converting them into sales * Customer-focused and adept at developing lasting professional relationships, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels * An articulate communicator and confident public speaker, experienced in creating and delivering compelling sales presentations * Commercially astute, target-driven, and resilient, thriving in a fast-paced sales environment with a consistent ability to meet and exceed targets * Technically proficient, with solid experience using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus * Willing to travel for meetings and events; a driving license is preferred but not essential
