Procurement Manager

Role Title - Procurement Manager Location - Cornwall Salary - £45 - £50k We are currently supporting a scaling social housing provider to recruit an experienced group procurement manager who will take the lead in owning and developing procurement across the business. This is a brand new role reporting directly to the executive team, with a remit to expand procurement's influence and impact across the business. You will be enabled to drive strategic-level change, implement best practice and overall improve the way that procurement is done across the business, transforming procurement into more of a proactive business enabler. The role - End-to-end procurement and SRM of a £xxm spend portfolio split across all categories. Key spend areas include FM, technology, construction, and professional services. Acting as the lead procurement subject matter expert internally, you will partner with stakeholders to maximise impact through early engagement and raising the profile of procurement within the business. Proactively develop innovative procurement strategies to support and enable key strategic environmental, social and governance goals. What we're looking for - Public sector procurement experience - you must be confident and comfortable working within a regulated procurement environment (PA23/OJEU/PCR). Exposure and experience in as wide a range of indirect spend categories as possible. You will be confident in taking ownership and having autonomy in how procurement is done, with the ability to influence and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the business. Ideally, you will be passionate about the role procurement plays in enabling sustainability objectives and enhancing local social value. Compensation is benchmarked at c. £45 - £50k, DOE.
